Prof. Hyötyläinen has a strong background in analytical chemistry, and her current research focuses on metabolomics and exposome research. Her work includes developing new methodologies with the main goal of creating robust and comprehensive approaches that cover the entire process—from sampling to analysis and data processing. These tools are then applied in research on the impacts of environmental exposures on human health, as well as in identifying underlying biochemical pathways.
