My own research probes biological structure-function relationships using X-ray and neutron diffraction, cryo-electron microscopy, small-angle X-ray scattering, cross-linking mass spectrometry, biophysical and biochemical analyses. Two particular current focus areas are allosteric regulation of the essential enzyme ribonucleotide reductase, at both the enzyme and transcriptional levels, as well as drug design against the galectin family of carbohydrate binding proteins.
