My research centers on glycobiology, AI, and systems biology. Glycans modify animal proteins/lipids, modulating interactions and processes. This makes them crucial in pathologies, from viruses using glycans as receptors to cancer cells using glycans to evade the immune system. To understand sequence-to-function relationships in normal physiology and crucial disease processes, we develop and apply computational and experimental methods to uncover glycan diversity, biosynthesis, and function.
