Survey for needs of training within precision medicine
The SciLifeLab Capability for Precision Medicine and SciLifeLab Training Hub are conducting a survey regarding what training and education is needed to advance precision medicine in Sweden. The target group includes, for example, academic and clinical researchers at all levels and staff at the SciLifeLab infrastructure.
“One of the objectives in SciLifeLab’s Roadmap for Precision Medicine is to enhance awareness and competence on technology- and data-driven precision medicine. With the current survey, we aim to assess the needs for training within the precision medicine research community” says Eva Berglund, Scientific Coordinator for Precision Medicine at SciLifeLab.
The results of the survey will be used to prioritize what type of training material or courses should be made accessible for the community through SciLifeLab via the Training Portal.
“Training from SciLifeLab aims to upskill the community in knowledge and skills mirroring the SciLifeLab ecosystem. The knowledge across the precision medicine field is a prioritized area as being a Capability and with the mapping of what the needs are we will be able to prioritize and assist on design-develop-deliver specific and targeted training to the users” says Jessica Lindvall, Head of Training at SciLifeLab Training Hub.
Both Eva and Jessica emphasize the importance of this mapping, which will enable the Capability to engage the precision medicine community in delivering training needed for themselves and other stakeholders, as well as strengthening networks and collaboration.
The survey is anonymous, will take approximately 5 minutes to complete, and is open for submission until September 15, 2024.
