Campus Solna scientists fill Life City with talks, posters and art

Scientists from SciLifeLab Campus Solna came together on September 12 to share snapshots of their field of research to inspire knowledge exchange, and to ignite new cross-disciplinary collaborations and further strengthen the community.

The Scientific Committee behind the meeting represented Campus Solna scientists with support from SciLifeLab’s operations office.

“Campus Solna Science Talks offers a highly valuable opportunity for researchers to exchange insights and explore new possibilities for collaboration. By sharing diverse perspectives, and by often connecting the presented research projects to different state-of-the-art technological platforms, we aim to foster a stronger community and inspire further advancements in our respective fields”, said Adnane Achour, Karolinska Institutet, and part of the Scientific Committee behind Campus Solna Science Talks.

Presentations ranged from deep learning models of cancer mechanisms, through environmental impacts on molecular systems, to epigenetic transgenerational effects of environmental pollution, and the plenary program also included thought provoking panel discussions on research assessment and how to further develop as a community to meet future societal challenges. Furthermore, a part of the venue was dedicated to showcasing the beauty of science through a presentation of art at SciLifeLab Campus Solna, as well as community initiatives led by the Campus Solna’s PhD&postdoc and Coaching in Science initiatives.
