Japanese Business federation KEIDANREN visits SciLifeLab
The Japanese Business federation KEIDANREN, along with the newly appointed Japanese ambassador to Sweden, H.E. Shigeyuki Hiroki, visited SciLifeLab on Wednesday Nov 7 as part of KEIDANREN’s Mission to Sweden 2018.
The mission is part of the ongoing 150th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Sweden. In addition to SciLifeLab, the delegation visited Ericsson, the Confederation of Swedish Enterprises, SUP46, Stockholm Business Region and SEB, as well as meeting with several ministers and the Royal Family. The delegation was introduced to SciLifeLab and its key focus areas, as well as ongoing collaborations between SciLifeLab and RIKEN, and visited selected units.
“We are very happy that KEIDANREN decided to include SciLifeLab as part of its busy schedule here in Sweden. This was a great way to strengthen our ongoing scientific exchange with Japan”, said Olli Kallioniemi, Director of SciLifeLab. “The fact that SciLifeLab was prioritized by the delegation as the only academic organization in Sweden to be visited is a clear sign of our internationally growing reputation as a global center for scientific excellence.”
