Expression of interest call to become a member of any of the four DDLS research area expert groups Data-Driven Cell and Molecular Biology, Data-Driven Biodiversity and Evolution, Data-Driven Epidemiology and Biology of Infection and Data-Driven Precision Medicine and Diagnostics.
Background
The SciLifeLab and Wallenberg National Program for Data-Driven Life Science (DDLS) focuses on four strategic areas for data-driven research: Cell and Molecular Biology (CMB), Biodiversity and Evolution (BE), Epidemiology and Biology of Infection (EBI) and Precision Medicine and Diagnostics (PMD). Activities within the four strategic research areas (RAs) of the DDLS program are planned and coordinated by four research area specific expert groups. The DDLS Research Area expert group consists of up to 9 members plus a chair.

If you are interested in becoming a member in any of the DDLS RA expert groups during the next 2-year period, April 2024- March 2026, please submit your expression of interest via the form below.
Fill in all the required information and justify your interest well as well as motivate why you would be the ideal candidate. Submit your expression of interest and a CV of max 2-page by April 11, 2024 (call period has been extended).

Please note that most of the current RA experts will likely continue, so there will only be a few new seats available so your motivation will be of great importance for selecting new members.

Role of the DDLS research area specific expert groups
The expert groups are important in creating and promoting communities and collaborations between scientists within and between the research areas. The RA expert groups work closely together with DDLS fellows in each area, as well as the PhD student and postdoc communities, the DDLS Research School and Training Hub, the Data Science Nodes, and the WABI Bioinformatics. The DDLS RA expert groups work under and reports to the DDLS steering group and the DDLS Program Director, and is an important arena for interactions and link between the DDLS community and the industry, healthcare and other external stakeholders.
