Networking across borders at NLSDays
Two days of inspiration and networking across industry, public and private sector borders, sum up the Nordic Life Science Days 2018 in a few words. SciLifeLab participated within the event through a dedicated satellite symposium, a workshop and an exhibition, all focusing on informing about the technologies and capabilities at SciLifeLab and how both academia and industry can benefit from them.
“We are primarily an academic player, but our ambition is to continuously improve our services and collaborate efforts also towards other sectors, such as industry and healthcare”, Annika Jenmalm Jensen, SciLifeLab Infrastructure Director, said in the workshop.
The workshop, Emerging Technologies in Molecular Life Science, highlighted examples of recent technology developments at SciLifeLab, how they might shape the future of healthcare, drug discovery and diagnostics and how SciLifeLab can support the research community with its continuously developed infrastructure and competence.
“Ensuring that development of our technologies stays innovative and meets actual needs is a big challenge, but also extremely important”, Annika Jenmalm Jensen said.
Nordic Life Science Days is the largest Nordic partnering conference within the life science industry. It is an annual event with attendees such as decision makers from biotech, pharma, medtech, finance, research, policy and regulatory authorities. More information: https://www.nlsdays.com
