DDLS Training
Training within the DDLS program aims to upskill the broad life science community in data-driven life science by offering lifelong learning in an openly accessible way.
Training within the DDLS program aims to upskill the broad life science community in data-driven life science by offering lifelong learning in an openly accessible way.
The project will be driven by the national SciLifeLab Training Hub, which will connect and utilise the knowledge and skills found across the full SciLifeLab ecosystem including the DDLS program Research Areas, DDLS partner organisations and SciLifeLab infrastructure etc In addition, DDLS education and training will be connected to both various national as well as international organisations via the national Training Hub, and SciLifeLab at large.
DDLS education and training will achieve its goals by building, designing and providing a variety of training activities that are co-created together with various stakeholder groups across the technology- and data-driven life science community. Focus will lie in the topics of data science, ethical, legal, societal implications/aspects (ELSI/A) and accompanied with the topics of Open Science and FAIR. These foundational topics coupled to life science research questions in any of the DDLS Research Areas will enable data-driven life science Research. The aim is to make all, or close to all, training materials and courses from the DDLS program openly available via the SciLifeLab Training Hub and with this further disseminate the knowledge beyond the delivered course instance.
DDLS Fellows
The DDLS fellows are the recruited excellence in data-driven life science. For this reason, this group is key in establishing what data-driven life science training should be about. The DDLS fellows work together with DDLS education and training to establish training and courses for the whole community including the DDLS research school.
Training Reference Group
The Training Reference Group consists of representatives from all DDLS partner organisations with individuals closely linked to the formal education e.g. curricula specifically related to data-driven topics combined with the individual University focus.
The scope of the Training Reference Group is to act as an advisory, information and discussion group to the DDLS education and training.
Training community
Much, if not all, about the data-driven life science training will be designed, co-created and delivered by the community itself. The community consists of a vast amount of experts who individually contribute with their expertise and collectively create training materials and courses. The community is both the trainers and the learners.
